Terms and Conditions of Engagement
The following Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings of Drum and Blaze and form an integral part of any quotation, confirmation, or agreement.
1. Event Information & Logistics
The client is responsible for providing accurate and complete event information, including but not limited to:
Performance times
Event schedule
Exact location and access details
Any site-specific constraints or requirements
This information must be communicated in a timely manner. Failure to provide accurate or updated details may adversely affect performance delivery and shall not constitute grounds for cancellation, refund, or fee reduction.
2. Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, full payment is due within 14 days following the performance date.
Late payment is considered a breach of these Terms & Conditions and may result in refusal of future bookings from the same client or organisation. Drum and Blaze reserves the right to enforce these terms strictly.
3. Power & Sound
Drum and Blaze is a high-volume percussion ensemble. Performances are inherently loud and may not be suitable for all environments.
The client is solely responsible for:
Obtaining any necessary permissions, licences, or authorisations for amplified or high-noise performances
Ensuring compliance with all relevant local authority regulations, particularly in residential areas or busy public spaces
Drum and Blaze accepts no responsibility for noise complaints, enforcement actions, or restrictions imposed by third parties or authorities.
4. Cancellation, Weather, Safety & Force Majeure
The safety of performers and the protection of instruments are paramount, particularly for outdoor events.
Drum and Blaze reserves the right to cancel a performance without liability in any of the following circumstances:
- a) Weather & Safety
Up to one hour before the scheduled start time, if weather or environmental conditions pose a risk to performers or equipment, including but not limited to:
Heavy rain
Storms or high winds
Extreme cold
Excessive heat or direct sun exposure
- b) Force Majeure
In the event of circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to public safety restrictions, transport disruption, or other unforeseeable events.
- c) Performer & Operational Issues
Within a reasonable timeframe (up to 14 days prior to the event) should issues arise affecting the band’s ability to perform, including but not limited to:
Performer illness or injury
Transport or logistical failure outside our control
capacity to deliver an appropriate performance standard due to numbers or logistics
Such cancellations shall not be considered a breach of contract.
5. Access, Parking & Facilities
While not mandatory, the client is expected, where reasonably possible, to provide:
Suitable parking close to the performance area, including space for a van transporting instruments
A secure area for performers to change and store personal belongings during the event
These provisions are particularly important for large ensembles and materially contribute to the smooth delivery of the performance.
6. Insurance
Drum and Blaze holds Public Liability Insurance, details of which are available upon request.
The client may also be required to provide evidence of their own relevant insurance coverage if requested, particularly for public or large-scale events.
